Parent Code of Conduct
• I agree to support our team in a positive manner and showcase good sportsmanship toward all players, coaches, parents, and game officials.
• I will respect the coach’s commitment to coach my child and will not interfere with “on field” instruction during practices or games.
• I will address any concerns with the head coach in private, away from the field and in a positive manner.
• I will support the coaches and do my best to ensure that my child arrives at practice and games on time.
• I will teach my child to play by the rules and respect teammates, opponents, game officials and coaches.
• I will cheer for our team in a positive manner regardless of the outcome of the game.
• Any youth who participates within Woodhaven Jr Warrior EAC, shall not be permitted to participate on a similar team during the season.
• I will be respectful and not post or comment inappropriate items when using Social Media and referencing Woodhaven Jr Warrior EAC.
Code of Conduct for all Football Players and Cheerleaders
At all times, on or off the field during the season, you must conduct yourself with dignity and respect. You are an extension of Woodhaven Jr Warrior EAC. During your person time and your times as a member of Woodhaven Jr Warrior EAC, you must show respect and courtesy to everyone you come in contact with, parents, teachers and your peers. Fighting, trouble in school or at school functions or outside of school or disrespecting any adult may result in suspension and/or probation subject to the Executive Board and Coaches review.
• I am accountable for the results of my behavior toward my teammates, coaches, game officials.
• I will respect other players (including my teammates and my opponents), coaches and game officials at all times.
• When I score a touchdown, I will simply hand the ball to the official before celebrating with my teammates.
• When I make a great play, I will not embarrass my opponent.
• I will honor the sport by playing within the rules during games and practices.
• I will respect the game and not use foul language at any time.
• I agree to put my team first and put forth my best effort on the field in support of the team goals.
• I agree to give my best effort in the classroom and listen to my teacher.
• I will treat my classmates as I do my teammates, with respect.
• I will do my best to maintain good grades and set an example as a Student Athlete.
• When joining Woodhaven Jr Warrior EAC, I am 100% committed to this program during the course of the season.
• I will be respectful and not post or comment inappropriate items when using Social Media and referencing Woodhaven Jr Warrior EAC.
• No cell phones are to be taken out of bags or coats at practice or games for any reason.
Parent/Cheerleader Code of Conduct
(Applicable to Cheer Only)
• Appropriate clothing and arched shoes must be worn at every practice. Athlete will have to sit if they are not dressed appropriate and will be counted as an unexcused absence.
• No part of the uniform may be worn other than to school on Friday’s before game day and game day. Uniforms must be well maintained.
• Attendance for all practices and games is mandatory. Excused absences include illness (must have a doctor’s note with dates) Funeral, Religious Education, School activities (at the coach’s discretion)
o 1 unexcused = sit ¼ of game
o 2 unexcused = sit ½ of a game
o 3 unexcused = sit ½ of 2 different games
o 4+ unexcused = sit ½ game for each additional
o 5 unexcused = cannot cheer at competition
o 30+ min late or leaving early will count as an unexcused absence
**Missing a game is also considered an unexcused absence.
• Head coach or Cheer director must be notified 30 minutes or more of excused or unexcused absence.
• Bullying will not be tolerated and will include suspension or dismissal at the discretion of the Executive Board.
